Written by Diego Canellas (Awka) & Edu Schwartz
The idea behind Words Not Enough came about in 2020, after both of us, Edu Schwartz and Awka, noticed a great harmony in the performances we played B2B — one of which was the Warung Beach Club closing summer.
Aware of the chaotic scenario that already surrounded us, with the pandemic exploding in a number of cases, all shows in Brazil and in the world being decimated, we had the idea of making a project that we already dreamed of: having our own label.
One of the pillars that supported our idea was the unknown connection of the Brazilian market with the Organic House segment, which became our main focus, both in our individual careers and in the label itself.
Then we started with the branding, paying attention to every detail, aiming to convey all our taste through visual, sound and artistic references in general. The process was quite fast and in a few days we had already created the entire brand manual. We believe that the essence of the label was intrinsic to our identity — hence, this advance in creation.
The next step would be to choose the first artist to open our catalog and, coincidentally, we were in contact with Valdovinos, who was admired by both of us. He promptly accepted the invitation, believing in the WNE proposal, and making us believe that we would have something remarkable on our hands.

Words Not Enough arose to collaborate with the development of the Brazilian Organic House market and — why not? — expand its horizons to other continents where this market is already consolidated. We are fascinated by natural sounds, percussive grooves, shamanic vocals and the richness of ethnic or region-specific instruments, among other details.
Our recognition for this solid identity has come through support and feedback from artists who have appreciated the label’s releases. As an example, we can mention this first release, “Rocket Love” by Valdovinos, the track was played by the great master Hernán Cattáneo in the virtual edition of Burning Man; or even our songs that were played on All Day I Dream‘s live streams.
In just over a year of the label, we launched 10 EPs in total, embracing a lot of producers that we’re real fans of, such as Nhii, Bodaishin, Hot Oasis, Mass Digital, Alex Twin, Nōpi, Dennis Allen, Hrag Mikkel and others.

We are on a mission to add value to the scenario we are part of, showing the strength of Brazilian producers. Therefore, we feel that we are gradually managing to set our flag and be recognized by artists around the world.
Our last release is the D’un Jour EP, signed by the Brazilian producer Chiari, who had already released with us in March 2021, a remix for the track “Stimm”. In this new work, he brings in “D’un Jour” a sensual and, at the same time, reverberating ambience. It’s like a drop of water in the desert. There will also be a remix in two versions by Enigmatic: Daydream Remix is sentimental and spiritual, like an ancestral electronic journey, supported by the immense potential that electronic music has to mix the natural and the synthetic, Night Remix amplifies the House beats and addresses a moment of tension and relief worthy of the hottest moments on a dance floor.
Keep an eye out and follow the WNE because 2023 has a lot to look forward to.
